Booking takes under a minute and no payment is required to reserve your time.

Can you alter wedding dresses?

Accepted Answer

Yes — bridal work is our specialty. We handle bustles, multi-layer hems, bodice shaping, strap and neckline changes, resizing, and heirloom gown restyling. We recommend scheduling your first bridal fitting 6 to 8 weeks before your wedding date, and bringing your shoes and undergarments to every fitting.

Bring the shoes you'll wear with the garment and, for dresses and gowns, the undergarments you plan to wear. This lets us mark hems and fit the bodice with total accuracy. For suits, bring a dress shirt with the collar you typically wear.

Can you make a garment bigger, not just smaller?

Often, yes. Letting out a garment depends on the seam allowance the manufacturer left inside. Suits and formal wear usually have 1–2 inches of margin; we'll check the seams at your fitting and tell you honestly what's possible before any work begins.
